The Chicago Bears released their first injury report for the 2021 season on Wednesday, which featured top starters who either did not train or were limited.
The biggest concern was nose tackle Eddie Goldman, who missed Wednesday’s practice with what was listed as a knee / ankle injury, leading many to question his availability for Sunday night.
Nagy explained that Goldman twisted his knee in Monday practice, and he’s not sure if Goldman will train on Thursday. Nagy called Goldman “day to day”, which is certainly more encouraging than some speculated.
If Goldman can’t make it on Sunday night, it would be seventh-round rookie Khyiris Tonga stepping in on the nose tackle, which has impressed throughout the preseason.

The Bears also had three notable starters who were limited in Wednesday practice, including wide receiver Darnell Mooney (back) and outside linebackers Khalil Mack (groin) and Robert Quinn (back).
Nagy said he felt good about these three guys playing in Sunday night’s opener.
Matt Nagy says he feels pretty good about Mack, Quinn and Mooney’s availability for Sunday against the # Rams. #Bear
