Matt Reeves took advantage of his Twitter account late Sunday night to publish a rather encrypted message that apparently confirms that Robert Pattinson is the new Batman.

Or not. You are the judge.

Although we would like to say that Reeves tweet with a Pattinson GIF and three bat emoji confirms the cast of the actor, we simply can not. This is Reeves' first comment on rumors circulating for some time, but the use of three bat emojis is not something that necessarily resists in court.

Are we of the opinion that it is the confirmation that we were waiting? Yes. Can we say without reservation that it is a confirmation? No.

With Reeves tweet in the world, however, it is likely that a much more formal announcement will be made at any time. It can take hours, or maybe days, we just do not know. But it seems that we will have to get used to saying "Battinson" about this Batman era.

Matt Reeves should start shooting at his business, The Batmaneither in the fall or at the beginning of winter. He has been described as a black version of Batman and will put more emphasis on his detective work than most of his other big screen incarnations.

The most recent reports seem to indicate that Pattinson will sing for a contract of three films as a Batman. Other reports also indicate that Reeves may be planning a trilogy of Bat-films, so the duo could work together for a while.

Stay tuned while waiting for the official word of Warner Bros. on the news of this casting.

The Batman is scheduled to open on June 25, 2021.
