It looks like the Lions will have their starting quarterback against Carolina, but the Panthers quarterback situation is still pending.

Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford (inch) is considered dubious, but he has gotten through the week without a hitch and is expected to start, NFL Network Insider source Ian Rapoport told.

Despite a slight ligament tear in his thumb, Stafford has no limits.

In nine games this season, the Georgia product is averaging 267 passing yards with 17 total TDs.

The Lions (4-5) travel to Charlotte to face the Panthers (3-7) at 1 p.m. ET.

More injury news we’re watching ahead of Sunday’s Week 11 games:

  • Carolina Panthers quarterback Teddy Bridgewater (MCL sprain, questionable) improved steadily throughout the week, doing more on Saturday than Friday. A source tells Rapoport he’s pushing to play, but the team won’t put him in danger. A real game decision based on how he feels.
  • Denver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock, who suffers from muscle pain in his ribs, is expected to play against the Miami Dolphins. He improved steadily throughout the week. As for tight winger Noah Fant (ribs), he should also play, according to Rapoport.
  • Green Bay Packers receiver Allen Lazard, activated this week following surgery for a central muscle injury, is expected to play against the Indianapolis Colts. Lazard will be on a launch account, as Green Bay relieves him. But he should play, reports Rapoport.

  • The defensive ends of the Dallas Cowboys, Demarcus Lawrence and Randy Gregory – both considered dubious (disease) – have passed all of their COVID tests. Barring a problem this morning, they’re set to take on the Minnesota Vikings, sources told NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
  • Minnesota Vikings tight end Irv Smith (groin) is expected to play against the Cowboys, per Pelissero.
