LOS ANGELES (AP) – “Danger! Is back to guest hosts after Mike Richards resigns, and actor Mayim Bialik will return as first.
Sony Pictures Television announced Monday that Bialik will step onto the podium long held by the late Alex Trebek for three weeks of episodes.

The 45-year-old “Big Bang Theory” and “Blossom” actor was one of several guest hosts who held two-week positions in the final season following the death of Trebek, who hosted the show. for 37 seasons. Trebek died in November at the age of 80 from cancer.
When Richards was announced as the new host on August 11, the producers also revealed that Bialik would have an ongoing role as master of ceremonies for “Jeopardy!” prime-time playoffs and spinoffs, including a new varsity championship.
Sony’s press release on Monday said other guest hosts would follow Bialik and made no mention of a permanent replacement.
Richards, the show’s executive producer, had been announced as the host nine days earlier when he stepped down on Friday after a report of degrading comments he made about women, the homeless and others on a podcast. Richards’ selection after a parade of famous suitors was greeted by a chorus of critics.
The episodes Richards recorded last week will air when the series returns for its 38th season starting September 13.
