The fast food chain is partnering with No-Shave November to distribute 10,000 McRib sandwiches to customers in an effort to raise awareness of the non-profit organization that raises funds for cancer research.

To participate, fans must post a photo on social media with their face clean-shaven because “beards + McRib sauce don’t mix”.

McDonald’s announced the annual McRib launch last month, but said it would make the beloved sandwich available at all of its 14,400 American restaurants for the first time in nearly a decade.
“Our bearded fans know … facial hair and McRib just don’t mix – trust me, I’ve tried,” US Vice President of Communications David Tovar said in a press release. “With the McRib’s national comeback, we’re helping fans enjoy every delicious moment by encouraging them to shave for a chance to win a free McRib. And we’re thrilled this year to partner with No-Shave November, a charity that knows a thing or two about facial hair. ”

Fans can participate by posting their photo to their public Twitter or Instagram profile using # Shave4McRibSweepstakes and tagging @mcdonalds. The first 10,000 entries will receive a code for a free McRib, available through McDelivery with Uber Eats, while supplies last, the company said.

Contrary to what the announcement sounds at first glance, the raffle isn’t limited to people with facial hair. The company said anyone can participate and taking a photo of your “baby smooth” face after a shave or “even a face mask” will do the trick.
