McDonald's is looking to hire more baby boomers.

The fast-food chain, known to be the first job for many Americans, plans to hire more workers over the age of 50 and partners with AARP to help fill new positions. Job postings have been listed on the non-profit association's website. They also use many of their employment programs to help candidates find the job that's right for them.

By hiring older employees, the company hopes it will be easier to fill their positions in the morning and early afternoon, as teens and students are generally not available or willing to work in the morning. According to a report by CNBC, 40% of the company's workforce is made up of teenagers and only 11% are over 50 years old.

In a press release, McDonald's US employee manager, Melissa Kersey, said, "Through our new collaboration with AARP and the AARP Foundation, we are seeking to position McDonald's as a place where people themselves grow and prosper while bringing stability and a different perspective to everyone. "
