McDonald’s Corp (MCD.N) will require its U.S.-based office workers to be vaccinated against the coronavirus and will delay the return of employees to its offices until at least October, the fast food giant said on Wednesday.
The company joined the New York Stock Exchange and NBCUniversal in adopting a vaccination policy on Wednesday following the resurgence of COVID-19 cases in the United States due to the Delta variant.

McDonald’s said in an internal memo obtained by Reuters that it was delaying reopening the back office to Oct. 11 from Sept. 7 to give employees time to get vaccinated.
The company said the vaccination requirement does not apply to employees at McDonald’s restaurants, whether they are company-owned or franchisees.
The New York Stock Exchange has said it will require anyone entering its 11 Wall Street trading floor to be fully vaccinated against the coronavirus as of September 13, according to a memo to the room community seen by Reuters.

NBCUniversal will require US-based employees returning to its offices to be fully vaccinated, the Comcast Corp-owned media company (CMCSA.O) said, adding that the company would require employees to provide details of vaccination status. .
The company also said it is delaying its full-scale comeback until October 18 at the earliest.
