MSNBC has ignored the sexual harassment scandal engulfing the Lincoln Project in order to play the “game of pampering and hiding people who match their political beliefs,” Fox News “Outnumbered” panelist Dagen McDowell said Thursday.

“As long as you came on TV and said nasty things about Donald Trump and his supporters … there was space for you on these networks despite everyone knowing that the issues with [Lincoln Project co-founder] John Weaver, ”McDowell said, calling MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace.

Conservative author and journalist Ryan Girdusky first told the story of Weaver’s sexual harassment. January 11. On January 31, The New York Times published a report containing interviews with 21 young men who accused Weaver of sending them “unsolicited and sexually provocative messages online.” One of the men was 14 when he said Weaver contacted him.

Since that time, the structure of the organization has collapsed amid multiple reports that Schmidt and others knew about the allegations against Weaver sooner than they claimed. In addition, criticism of the group’s questionable finances and its toxic work environment has increased.

MSNBC ignored Weaver’s story until “Morning Joe” host Mika Brzezinski asked Conway about it on February 1. Conway expressed his distaste for Weaver’s behavior but added that he did not know him well.

“This is exactly how Harvey Weinstein and his rape and torture of women and the destruction of women’s lives have been covered by the media for decades,” she added, “because once again, money, power, liberal credit, maybe give you some help money if you needed it. It’s the same problem and it’s really terrible that he didn’t changed. “
