Mega Ampharos is here! A surprise drop with the start of the Hoenn event saw Mega Ampharos suddenly appear in the raids. In addition to Mega Ampharos, we will also be hosting an Incense Day with Mareep.
Date + time
- Mega Ampharos will participate in the Mega Raids starting Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
- Sunday January 24, 2021, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time for Mareep Incense Day with Electric and Dragon type appears.
Features + Spawns
You’ll be able to enjoy an Incense Day event featuring Electric-type Pokémon, Dragon-type Pokémon, and more! During this event, Incense will attract more Mareep, and you might even run into a Shiny Mareep if you’re lucky! Evolve Flaaffy (the evolved form of Mareep) during the event to obtain an Ampharos that knows the Dragon Pulse attack previously exclusive to Community Day! ‘
In addition to Mareep, different Pokémon will be attracted to incense at different times. The spawns will rotate between Electric and Dragon type themes.
- 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m .: Electric-type Pokémon
- 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.: Dragon-type Pokémon and Pokémon that evolve into Dragon-type Pokémon
- 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m .: Electric-type Pokémon
- 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m .: Dragon-type Pokémon and Pokémon evolving into Dragon-type Pokémon
Electric type hours
During times when Electric-type Pokémon are present, you might encounter Pikachu, Magnemite, Voltorb, Chinchou, Mareep, Plusle, and Minun. If you’re lucky, you might run into a Stunfisk!
Dragon type hours
During Dragon-type hours, Dragon-type Pokémon and Pokémon that evolve into Dragon-type Pokémon will be drawn to incense, including Horsea, Dratini, Mareep, Trapinch, Vibrava, and Swablu. If you’re lucky, you might run into a Bagon!

Special move
Evolve Flaaffy (the evolved form of Mareep) during the event to obtain an Ampharos that knows the Dragon Pulse attack previously exclusive to Community Day!
