While no one across the country hit Friday’s $ 520 million jackpot, five second-prize tickets were sold, including one in New Jersey. Each matched five numbers but not the Mega Ball.

The lucky New Jersey ticket was purchased at the Jersey Bagel & Food Mart on Sicklerville Road in the Sicklerville section of Winslow, New Jersey, lottery officials said Monday.

A New York ticket is worth $ 2 million because it was purchased with the Mega Ball option for $ 1 more.

The tickets to Georgia and Massachusetts are also valued at $ 1 million, while the ticket to California is valued at $ 576,869.

California Lottery prices vary based on ticket sales and number of winners. They differ from the second fixed prices offered in the other participating states.

Friday’s winning numbers were: 3, 6, 16, 18 and 58. The drawn Mega Ball was 11 with a Megaplier of 2X.

The last time a lottery player hit the top Mega Millions jackpot was September 15, 2020, when a $ 120 million ticket was sold in Wisconsin. Two big jackpots were won in New Jersey in 2020. An anonymous winner claimed the $ 202 million prize won on February 11 with a ticket sold to Edison and a $ 124 million ticket was purchased in Bayonne for the July 24 draw.

Mega Millions tickets cost $ 2 each and in New Jersey must be purchased by 10:45 p.m. on the night of the draw. The odds of a ticket hitting the jackpot by matching five numbers and the Mega Ball are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a shot of 1 in 12,607,306 to win the second prize of at least $ 1 million by matching five numbers.

Mega Millions is played in 45 states, Washington DC and the US Virgin Islands.

The New Jersey Lottery office in Lawrence is open to the public by appointment. You can still claim your winnings – provided they’re less than $ 599.50 – in person at any retailer.

The lottery also accepts mailed claims, although officials warn payments could be temporarily delayed. Winners are encouraged to make copies of the claim form and the winning ticket for their records.
