The pair of $ 1 million Mega Millions tickets sold in New Jersey for Tuesday’s $ 865 million monster raffle were bought at convenience stores in Atlantic and Somerset counties, said Thursday New Jersey lottery officials.

The Lucky Tickets were purchased at 7-Eleven on the 1500 block of Atlantic Avenue in Atlantic City and at the Lucky Spot Convenience Store on Gaston Avenue in Somerville.

Each matched five numbers, but not the Mega Ball.

In addition, there were eight third prize tickets sold in New Jersey that matched four numbers plus the Mega Ball.

A ticket sold at 7-Eleven on Route 88 in Point Pleasant is worth $ 20,000 because it was purchased with the Megaplier for an additional $ 1. The others, valued at $ 10,000 each, were purchased at the following locations:

• Key Food on Lincoln Avenue in Glen Rock
• 7-Eleven on Hackensack Street in Wood-Ridge
• Shop Rite on Harmony Road in the Gibbstown section of Greenwich
• Nik Nak Food Mart on Woodbury Turnersville Road in Turnersville
• Grover grocery store on South Street in Freehold
• Mr. Mike’s Convenience Store on Vauxhall Road in the Vauxhall section of the Union
• Travel Centers of America – Columbia on Simpson Road in Columbia

The jackpot for Friday’s draw climbed to $ 970 million with a cash option of at least $ 716.3 million and will potentially be the third largest in US lottery history. It could exceed $ 1 billion if ticket sales are strong nationwide.

The winning numbers for Tuesday were: 10, 19, 26, 28 and 50. The Mega Ball drawn was 16 with a 2X Megaplier.

Other million dollar bills were sold in Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Mississippi, Pennsylvania and Washington state. A ticket to California is valued at $ 1,401,723. California Lottery prices vary based on ticket sales and number of winners. They differ from the second fixed prices offered in other participating states.

Additionally, two more Florida tickets are worth $ 2 million each as they were purchased with the Megaplier option for $ 1 more.

Mega Millions tickets cost $ 2 each and in New Jersey must be purchased by 10:45 p.m. on the night of the draw. The odds of a ticket hitting the jackpot by matching five numbers and the Mega Ball are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a shot of 1 in 12,607,306 to win the second prize of at least $ 1 million by matching five numbers.

The game is played in 45 states, Washington DC and the US Virgin Islands.
