“The atmosphere is completely fishy without being distinctive, and everything about the film – the emotionless line readings, the half-baked stories – exudes laconic functionality,” the reviewer adds.
Slant Magazine’s Mark Hanson did not assign any stars to the film, saying, “Randall Emmett’s directorial debut is virtually indistinguishable from the dozens of cheap VOD action thrillers he has produced to date.”
The Hollywood Reporter called him a “poorly conceived and agonizingly acted directorial debut” that “doesn’t come close to meeting even the lowest expectations.”

However, the same reviewer notes that one of the more surprisingly good parts is Machine Gun Kelly, which is “one of the most consistent and invested” in the cast.
