Megan Fox insists she never called Donald Trump a “legend”

Megan Fox clarified a recent comment she made about the former president Donald Trump at the start of the week, saying that it was an “observation fact” and not an “opinion”.

On Monday, the “Till Death” star spoke to “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”Guest host Arsenio Hall on his love for the UFC and his crazy experiences attending fights live. During their discussion, Fox spoke about attending UFC 264 in Las Vegas this weekend and said she was seated in the same row as the former president.

“I had never seen the Secret Service in person before,” said the 35-year-old actor. She described Trump as having “like 30 Secret Services with him.”

“He was a legend, this arena was very supportive of Trump when he walked in,” she said.

She then explained how the attention being paid to Trump – and being so close – made her feel apprehensive.

“I was like, I don’t know how I feel, because if someone is a target, then I’m like, I might get hurt because I’m adjacent to where they are,” he said. she told Hall. “So I was worried about my own safety, that’s all I cared about. But yes, I’ve never seen anything like it before. It was crazy.”

Although in full context it appears Fox was only relaying what she found to be a fun anecdote on the late night talk show, it seems some may to have misinterpreted his comments.

The “Jennifer’s Body” star posted a statement on her Instagram Stories Wednesday night, clarifying her point.

“I never said Donald Trump was a legend,” reads his article. “I said he was a legend. .. in this arena (key element of the sentence).

“The arena was packed with UFC fight fans,” she continued. “A lot of them are clearly Republicans, based on the crazy reaction from the crowd he received upon entering the T-Mobile room.”

“It was an observable fact,” she wrote. “This is not my opinion.”

Fox ended his statement by attacking those on both sides of the political spectrum who jumped to conclusions about his remarks.

“The world needs more of this,” she concluded sarcastically.
