Megan Thee Stallion sets the record straight, calling rumors that the criminal charges against Tory Lanez have been dropped “false news.”

The WAP singer, 25, spoke about the unfounded Twitter gossip on Thursday, telling readers she’s tired of seeing people LIE and turn around [her] trauma in a joke ”while calling Lanez an“ abuser ”.

Megan has accused Tory, 28, of shooting her in both feet after an argument at a party last October.

He was then arrested and later charged with two criminal firearm offenses by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, but pleaded not guilty on a court date in November.

The Texas native then accused Lanez and his team of fabricating stories, writing: ‘This whole team is finding ways to create doubt with my story every week and the media is eating it up. ”

To substantiate Miss Pete’s claims, a representative from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office told Complex the next hearing date for the case is now set for February 25, after the hearing date originally announced on January 20.

Megan’s tweet then turned the topic around to the audience, wondering why she was mean when she was the alleged victim.

She called out some hypocrisy, writing: ‘You all believe black women and protect black women online BUT WHEN I LITERALLY SAY I DID UNDERSTAND HER. ”

“The trauma is real,” rapper Savage continued.

“ I am still traumatized to have lost my mother, my father and one of my grandmothers and besides being shot. I am generally not open to anything on the internet as I like to keep my emotions private but I am reaching my limit I will continue to stay positive.

Lanez’s team confirmed Pete’s claims Thursday via a statement made to New York Times music reporter Joe Coscarelli.

He tweeted: ‘Representative for Tory Lanez says it is NOT TRUE that charges against him in the set of Megan Thee Stallion were dropped:’ The blog that posted this information is false. I guess the record has not been updated …. The next hearing date is mid-February. ”

Lanez representatives were more specific in a statement to Page Six, saying: ‘The false report was from a D List blogger (I can’t even find their contact) who doesn’t know how to read a court file . ”

Another source also clarified that Megan had nothing to do with whether the case was dropped.

“ The LA County District Attorney’s Office has filed the charges against him, not Megan, so they can drop the charges, ” the insider said. “But the reality is that he will have to face the consequences of his actions.”

If found guilty, Lanez could face up to 22 years and eight months in state prison.

But he took on an optimistic tone on his own Twitter on Thursday, posting: ‘I’m going to continue my 2021 without a problem … I just want to create great content for my fans. ”
