Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have released their first Christmas card since moving to California, showing the shock of 19-month-old Archie’s red hair.

The couple can be seen playing with their young son in the yard of their $ 14.7 million home in Montecito, along with dogs Pula and Guy.

The card was released on Wednesday via Mayhew, the UK animal charity of which she is the godmother.

It reads: “I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.” The card is a drawing of an image taken by Meghan’s mother, Doria

A spokesperson for the couple said: ‘The original photo of the family was taken at their home earlier this month by the Duchess’s mother.

The festive black and white card showed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex laughing as they posed in front of a Christmas tree, with Archie’s face in the foreground of the image.

It was shared on social media by the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust and read: ‘Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from our family to yours. ”

In a tweet, the Trust said: ‘I am only sharing the sweetest Christmas card from our President and Vice President, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Very Merry Christmas everyone!

The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall released their official 2020 Christmas card last week, choosing a candid photo as they relaxed in Birkhall Gardens.
