Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a big buy for the holidays yesterday, buying their Christmas tree for the season – at least according to Twitter. Hi! reports that Twitter user James claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex came to the land he was working in yesterday to make their purchase.

James detailed what happened two tweets, writing: “Meghan and Prince Harry walked into my job today and we sold them their Christmas tree. We had our lot empty when they arrived – their agent promoted them a good time to come instead of stop us. There was one. the family there and their delighted grandson ran through the trees to Harry and asked him if he was working here not knowing who it was ? “

James also wrote what the couple looked like, answering a question another user asked about them. “Honestly they seem to be very nice people. Meghan looks very nice and Harry looks and acted like a cold boy. I’m really glad they liked our trees. We got the best of that. we could get from Wa. Very grateful 🙂 “

James did not give any further details on the type of tree Meghan and Harry bought.

Meghan and Harry now live in Montecito, California with their one-year-old son Archie. They are expected to spend the holidays there, in part because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

A month ago, ELLE.com learned from a source close to Harry and Meghan that it is “expected that they will be at their home in Montecito, Calif. And will not be in the UK for Christmas”. The couple had originally planned to return to their Frogmore Cottage home in December for two weeks before Meghan’s lawsuit against the Mail on Sunday and Associated Newspapers. This trial has since been postponed until fall 2021.

As Hi! points out, this is not the first time that details have been released about Meghan and Harry’s Christmas tree purchases. On December 12, 2016, the new couple were seen searching for a tree at Pines and Needles in Battersea, London. They chose a medium-sized Nordmann tree, the outlet learned.

A spokesperson for the store spoke with Hi! of their trip, saying: “They arrived around 8:30 p.m. last night. Prince Harry was with Meghan and hilariously the staff only recognized Meghan at first – they were so excited to have the daughter of Suit The. It was not particularly cold, but they were gloved and combed. “

Sam Lyle, the owner of Pines and Needles, added that “they were completely lovely together and had no idea that our jaws had hit the ground. They picked out a beautiful Nordmann tree and left after exchanging Christmas jokes.”
