Meghan Markle has filed a formal complaint with UK broadcasting regulators over former “Good Morning Britain” host Piers Morgan after claiming to exaggerate allegations of suicidal thoughts and racism in the royal family, according to a report Friday.

“We can confirm receipt of a standards complaint filed on behalf of the Duchess of Sussex,” a spokesperson for the government-approved regulatory group Ofcom said, according to the Daily Mail.

His complaint is one of at least 41,000 received by Ofcom, which is now expected to open an investigation into Morgan’s comments on the show on Tuesday. They sparked a heated on-air clash that led him to quit the show.

Earlier this week, Markle reportedly complained to an honcho at ITV, the network behind the show, about Morgan’s comments, including that he “didn’t believe a word,” she said. of his treatment by the British royal family.

Markle claimed she took issue with Morgan’s attitude towards mental health in general and not his attack on her personally following the allegations she made about the Royal Family in an interview with Oprah Winfrey on the 7th March.

Morgan left the show on Tuesday after an on-air clash with a co-star who criticized him for ‘trashing’ the Duchess of Cambridge, and claimed his beef with her was personal – which prompted Morgan to storm the plateau.

Morgan later said he lost his job as host of the program because he refused to apologize for his comments.
