Some of the claims Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made during their interview with Oprah Winfrey last week are being overshadowed by British media, even as Fleet Street continues to delve into rumors and gossip about the international couple .
The Daily Mail devoted a lengthy article to contesting the interview’s false or misleading claims – then separately predicted that the Duchess of Sussex could run for President of the United States in 2024, citing an anonymous British Labor Party official .
She is already, allegedly, “in network” with “senior democrats” on a presidential financing plan.

“The Blairite, Internationalist and Democratic networks are overflowing with discussions about Meghan’s political ambitions and potential backers,” the company said, citing its source.
Other critics and media also looked at the couple’s claims during the interview, which aired last week.
“I don’t believe a word she says,” former “Good Morning Britain” host Piers Morgan said of Meghan on Monday, a day before leaving the set of her own show. He resigned hours later.

First, there is a dispute over who made Markle cry and Kate Middleton, his sister-in-law, before the former’s marriage to Harry.
The couple told Winfrey it was Meghan who was brought to tears.
But the Times of London reported the opposite – going so far as to say that Meghan slammed the door in Kate’s face when Kate tried to work things out.
The couple also told Winfrey that their son, Archie, had been excluded from a royal title. But that’s not the case, according to a Guardian report – he’s just not eligible under a long-standing policy. But he will, apparently, when his grandfather, Prince Charles, takes the throne.

In the United States, the Founding Fathers explicitly prohibited the government from granting titles of nobility under Article I of the Constitution. And that same clause would mean Meghan would likely have to disown her title of ‘Duchess’ if she were to actually run for President, unless Congress grants an exception.
And as for the couple’s reported secret marriage ahead of their multi-million dollar television affair – it was just a “repeat,” according to the Daily Mail.
Meghan’s half-sister Samantha Markle took issue with the claim the two haven’t seen each other for almost 20 years, sharing a photo of them together – from 2008.

Meanwhile, Harry has expressed concerns that the media’s fixation on his personal life could lead to tragedy. Her mother, Princess Diana, died in a high-speed car crash in Paris in 1997 while being chased by paparazzi.
A US lawyer representing some of Jeffrey Epstein’s victims also accuses the royal palace of using the Harry and Meghan drama to distract from Prince Andrew.
