Meghan Markle has made things happen since arriving at Kensington Palace. Switching from Hollywood to Duchess has been a senseless transition – a transition with a lot of failures. Despite being in the limelight of a different color, Markle has made it a point of honor to walk to the beat of his own drum.
Being so independent painted a lens on the Suit the back of the alum. Despite her enemies, she did not back down. In fact, the Duchess of Sussex is stronger and bigger than ever. At least she is not the only member of the British royal family not to be afraid of going against her beliefs.
Meghan Markle is a passionate humanitarian
Being the Duchess of Sussex is accompanied by a large plate full of responsibilities. One of the most important are the royal patronages. Earlier this year, the Queen awarded her the title of patron of several foundations. This included the National Theater, the Association of Commonwealth Universities, Mayhew and Smart Works. She has also contributed to many other charities, including the Wilderness Foundation UK and Crisis.
You are probably wondering how one of these questions is problematic. Well, these particular positions are not. The Queen carefully selected clients who would be good at "business" and the other charities Markle solicited for weddings were verified before being listed.
But that does not mean that all of Markle's opinions do not come without controversy. After all, where Markle will go, the controversy will inevitably follow.
Markle is not afraid to take a stand despite adversity
Recently, some of Markle's activism choices have been met with caution. It turned out that Markle acted as a guest editor during a Vogue a question that targeted pioneers.
Considering Markle's frank nature, she was warned that floating near the "political sphere" could have consequences. After all, the British royal family is funded by taxpayers. The last thing they want to do is alienate the very people who are moving them forward.
All these years, the royal family has gone beyond political questions, but being the Duchess awake, Markle tries to educate the family about the problems of society. In fact, it is essentially trying to expose the family to the concerns of today's society as work.
"The problem is that his wife clearly has a particular political agenda: she is the awakened duchess and she sees in the work of her life waking up the royal family. Adopting such an inadvertent policy position is always a bad idea for a member of the royal family because it is funded by taxpayers and therefore it is required to stay above the political sphere. – Journalist Toby Young / talkRADIO
Prince Charles also deepened political issues
Long before the Duchess of Sussex intervened on the scene, her father-in-law apparently stirred the pot. The Prince of Wales has always been frank in his interests, especially with regard to climate change.
Unfortunately, his interest has plunged the family into a decade-long debate. One where the public wanted the publication of letters that Prince Charles had written to various political figures.
Between 2005 and 2015, Tthe Guardian do everything in his power to get their hands on what are called the "black spider's memos", that is, the notes the Prince of Wales exchanged with several active ministers. Although this does not seem like a big deal, it has triggered a huge scandal. Why? The royal author Katie Nicholl explains.
"We do not expect to [members of the Royal Family] to be political, they are not allowed to be political. However, the future king mingled, for the Guardian, questions that did not concern him. – Katie Nicholl
So lo, whenever a member of the royal family seems to get involved in politics, this triggers a brutal reaction from the British people. Maybe Markle will be able to change things, or maybe this long-standing tradition will eventually prevail.
