Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed their first baby on Monday and celebrate another "premiere" this Sunday: Meghan's first Mother's Day. On this occasion, the Instagram account of the royal family published a new photo of little Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
Sussex Royal, the couple's official Instagram, has released a pretty picture of Archie's tiny feet held by what appears to be Meghan's hand. Archie had only been seen once before, when the couple introduced the child to the press – and to the world – Wednesday.
The baby seems to be sitting in front of forget-me-not flowers – which could be a nod to Harry's late mother, Princess Diana. The flowers were one of Diana's favorites, according to Vanity Fair. This is not the first time that flowers appear during milestones in the couple's life. Prince Harry would also have hand-picked flowers from the Kensington Palace Garden for Markle's wedding bouquet. The bouquet included forget me.
The legend of the image can also pay tribute to Diana. "Pay homage to all the mothers of today – past, present, future mothers and those who are lost but remembered forever," said the post. "We honor and celebrate each and every one of you."
Princess Diana died more than 20 years ago in a car accident in Paris at the age of 36. Prince Harry was only 12 years old and Prince William was 15 years old at the time.
The caption also contained a quote from the work of the poet Nayyirah Waheed, "land": "My mother was my first country, the first place where I lived", is it written in the book? ; article.
While Sunday marks Mother's Day in America, as well as in many other countries, the party is celebrated in March in the UK, according to the BBC. So, it seems like the duchess will be able to celebrate two holidays next year, when Archie, seventh of the British throne, will be almost a year old.
