Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, made a surprise visit to New York for a shower thrown by friends for the royal baby in about two months.

The former Meghan Markle has been low-profile since landing in the Big Apple, according to DailyMail.com photos showing her at the start of her five-day secret journey.

According to many media reports, the visit has so far included the opportunity to meet friends. She spent Saturday making several stops in the district of SoHo. Harper's Bazaar said they visited Ladurée's bakery, where she ate macaroons and drank tea with best friend, Jessica Mulroney, the Canadian stylist whose children were members of the wedding of Meghan at the wedding. Last year.

It is believed that this trip is Meghan's first return to the United States since becoming a member of the British Royal Family last year after her wedding on May 19th.

Today, Camilla Tominey, royal contributor, said that it made sense that the Duchess wants to make the most of her limited free time before giving birth.

"She obviously wants to meet some of her closest friends and celebrate them before the arrival (of the baby)," she said.

The next stop in New York will be an exclusive baby shower for the baby that Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, are waiting for in late April or early May.

It was a lightning year for the duchess. She and Harry tied a knot last May during a ceremony monitored around the world. Just five months later, Kensington Palace announced that Meghan was pregnant with her first child.

The new baby is the eighth great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-reigning monarch in British history.

Meghan is expected to return home this week in London, where she will meet Harry before the two return to Morocco for an official engagement. This trip should be the last flight abroad before the birth of Baby Sussex.
