The protection officer was with new mom Meghan while she and her two friends applauded fellow American Serena Williams during her first hearing last week.

At one point, he spoke to a spectator sitting in two rows in front of 37-year-old Meghan.

But the man was only a selfie with the match in the background and not a photo of the duchess.

Sally Jones, seated in the same row as Meghan, was touched by the shoulder of the officer, who asked her not to take a photo of the Duchess.

But the former 64-year-old BBC sports presenter took pictures of Serena and did not realize the duchess was nearby. She said, "I think this royal protection officer was pretty embarrassed. He seemed a little puzzled as to why he was being asked to make such a request.

"I told him it was bullshit and that even though I had tried to take the Duchess in the picture, I would have a blurred picture of her right ear.
