Meghan Markle's father says that he was expelled from the life of his grandson Archie while he describes the snub as an "abuse".
Thomas Markle Snr criticized Meghan, 38, and 34-year-old Prince Harry, son-in-law, for not sending him a photo of his grandson Archie.
Mr. Markle, 75, said the only pictures he would have seen of the three-month-old boy were those posted on the Internet.
Speaking for the first time since the birth of his grandson, he also criticized climate change activists for using private jets and accused them of being hypocritical.
Mr. Markle, who lives in Mexico, told the Mail on Sunday: "I would like them to send me a picture of Archie so I can frame it and place it on my wall next to Meghan's.
"Is not that what any grandfather would want?
"I'd like to know if he has the famous Markle nose."
The former director of lighting in Hollywood claims to have sent a card to Meghan via her financial advisor in Los Angeles, where she was born and raised, but he did not receive a response and did not do not know if it has been delivered to him.
He said that he loved Meghan and remembered the times when he was wearing it when she was a baby.
Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, now 62, has split up at the age of six and divorced.
