Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, will launch her fundraising workwear range on Thursday, September 12th – but buyers will have to be quick because she is about to fly away.

The capsule collection, which will benefit the British charity Smart Works, will officially mark Meghan's return from maternity leave after the birth of Archie Baby in May.

Earlier this year, the former actress was named royal patron of the charity, which aims to provide unemployed women with the clothes, coaching and confidence they need to find a job. The new range will include "essential items" that women "need to attend interviews and enter the workplace: shirt, pants, blazer, dress and bag," according to an operational note published by Buckingham Palace.

According to its website, the association considers that the Duchess's commitment "reflects her passion for supporting women and that her commitment will help women in need in the UK".

Then, when the star guest of the Suits published British Vogue for the September issue, she exposed her vision of the role, as well as her plan to launch her own collection.

She wrote: "When you enter a Smart Works space, you end up with clothes and a host of bags and shoes, however, it can sometimes be a mix of sizes and colors mismatched, but not always an appropriate stylistic choice or range of sizes.

"To help with that, I asked Marks & Spencer, John Lewis & Partners, Jigsaw and my friend, designer Misha Nonoo, if they were willing to design a more options capsule collection. classics for a work wardrobe. "

She went on to address what she said was a common misconception – that Smart Works provides makeovers or a fashion show.

"This is not a fairy tale.If it's a cultural reference you're looking for, forget about Cinderella – it's a story of Wonder Woman, ready to face the world in her metaphorical cloak and literal, "she wrote.

For each item purchased in the range, which will be on sale for "at least two weeks" depending on the palace, one will be offered to Smart Works.

Meghan must pronounce "brief remarks before watching a group discussion" at the event in London, according to the palace.

Last month, the couple's Instagram account briefly previewed the collection, with the duchess overseeing a photo shoot before launch.
