God’s favorite fool looks like a quiz result from an old ClickHole article, but it’s actually an upcoming comedy series on Netflix. According to a statement from the streaming service, Melissa McCarthy and her actual husband and frequent comedy collaborator Ben Falcone will produce and co-star on the series, which has an order for 16 episodes. Netflix describes the premise of God’s favorite fool thus: “Clark Thompson, mid-level technical support employee, finds love with his colleague Amily Luck at the exact same time he becomes God’s involuntary messenger. There’s also roller skating, a lake of fire, and a looming apocalypse. Concepts, people. They are not much higher than that.

The press release notes that this show will mark the couple’s sixth collaboration together: “They previously partnered on Tammy, the boss, Party life, as well as their latest film, Super intelligence. They recently finished production of the Netflix movie, Thunder force. We wouldn’t exactly be advertising this review if we were you, Netflix. Can you remind us how good McCarthy was Can you forgive me and Spy? Spy was so awesome.
