A memorial for the late Harry Brant – the son of supermodel Stephanie Seymour and billionaire Peter Brant – was held on Thursday.

Only family members could attend the service, due to COVID-19 security measures, but Brant’s family asked those who knew him to light a candle in his honor at 7 p.m.

Harry died on Sunday of an accidental prescription drug overdose at the age of 24.

“Today we rest and honor the life of my brother, a true angel of light, an extraordinarily unique soul like never before,” his brother Peter wrote on Instagram.

He continued, “It is impossible to express the devastation I feel for the loss of the one with whom I have shared not only a life of beautiful memories, but with someone who cared so deeply for my own happiness, was so devoted to my personal comfort. It is the loss of not only a brother, but a best friend, my other half. My heart breaks at the thought that we will never see that dear sweet face again.

The brothers were often seen together at New York’s hottest parties and front row at major international fashion shows. Harry was known for his fashion sense and the brothers created a unisex makeup line for MAC Cosmetics.

“He has accomplished a lot in 24 years, but we’ll never have the chance to see what more Harry could have done,” his family said in a statement.

“Our hearts are broken. Harry wanted to overcome his addiction and was only days away from rehab. We will be forever saddened that Harry’s life was interrupted by this devastating illness. We ask that you please allow the privacy of our family as we try to cope with the loss of our beautiful and beautiful boy, ”the statement read.

There was a wave of sympathy from the great fashion designers mourning the loss.
