Metallica will perform an unexpected pop-up performance at the Chicago subway on Monday night, the venue announced, and tickets were only $ 20.
“Metallica is playing Metro tonight. Metallica,” Metro wrote on Facebook. “Yes, you heard that right. Stop whatever you’re doing, grab a $ 20 bill, and immediately head to the Metro ticket office.”
Depending on the location, proof of vaccination will be required and those wishing to purchase bracelets must be present at the time of purchase.
Shortly after the location was posted, images circulating on social media indicated that a long line had formed at the metro box office.
Within minutes of the post, Metro tweeted that the event was sold out.
“Tonight is going to be epic!” the tweet read.
The doors are scheduled to open at 7 p.m. and the show will begin at 8:30 p.m.
