The Claypools teamed up with Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo to Precious metals, a short film directed by Claypool’s son Cage.
Shot in the Claypool Estate in Northern California, the clip features Claypool in western costume, using a metal detector to search for gold. He’s ecstatic when he finds two gold coins, but his smile fades when he meets Trujillo with a gun – which takes Claypool’s hat off him. The two bass players prepare for a quick draw, but burst out laughing when Trujillo reveals he already has some gold of his own: EMG Pickups (the film’s sponsor).
