Mexico City to host two NBA games in regular season

MEXICO – The NBA will play two regular season games in Mexico City in the upcoming season.

The Dallas Mavericks will face the Detroit Pistons on Dec. 12 at Mexico's Ciudad Arena, the NBA announced Friday. The Phoenix Suns will face the San Antonio Spurs two days later.

The games will be the 29 and 30 in Mexico since 1992, the highest number of countries other than the United States and Canada. This is the fourth year in a row that the NBA will play two regular season games in Mexico City.

Orlando faced Chicago and Utah in Mexico last season.

The matches will be televised by ESPN Deportes, Televisa and NBA League Pass in Mexico.
