LIMA.- A earthquake of magnitude 6.2 with the epicenter in the Tarapacá region, border with Bolivia, shook northern Chile. No casualties or serious injuries are reported.
No changes in services or basic infrastructure have been reported. The biggest accidents were some collapse in the hills of the affected areas.
The National Seismological Centerl (CSN) of the University of Chile explained that the epicenter of the earthquake was located 37 kilometers south of the town of Camiña, in the region of Tarapacá.

The telluric movement is also felt in the regions of Antofagasta, Arica and Parinacota, all located in northern Chile.

There is no tsunami warning
The Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service of the Navy (SHOA) said that the earthquake features did not meet the conditions necessary to generate a tsunami on the country's coasts – with information from EFE
