For a few months, WhatsApp was working on a new function for groups in the application with which only administrators could send messages in a group, that is to say, it was becoming a kind of group, where participants could only see the messages that administrators will send, and since the last update, this feature is already available for Android, iOS and Windows Phone.
The function is called "Send Messages", which is enabled in version 2.18. 70 for iOS, and 2.18.201 for Android, however, to work, it must be enabled from the server, and according to WABetaInfo, the process is slow in Android and Windows Phone, but in iOS, the process is much faster, and you should have the new feature ready.
To enable this new feature, you must follow the following steps:
- Update the application to the latest version available on Android, iOS and Windows Phone.
- If you are a group administrator, go to the group settings and select the option "Send Messages"
]
- You will have the option to choose between "Administrators only" or "Everyone", if you select the first option, then only you or the administrators will be able to send messages.
This option is important if you do not want participants to send dozens of messages during the night. read in the morning, or if you only want to create a broadcast channel.
We have already tried the feature on iOS, but on Android it is not yet possible to use the co nfiguración, but we know that it is a little patience.
What do you think of this new feature of WhatsApp?
