The Mexican peso is advancing because of an overall weakness of the dollar, in the last session preceding the elections in which the next President of the Republic will be elected and more than 3,000 positions will be renewed.
The interbank rate is 19.61 pesos for one dollar, an increase of 0.5 percent or 2.80 cents, while in banks, the dollar is sold up to 20 , 20 pesos as is the case for Bancomer
Citibanamex offers the US dollar at 20.00 pesos, while Banorte sells it at 19.85 pesos.
The peso highlights a rise of 1.5% in June, recovering a decline of more than 8% expected for the second quarter by the strength of the dollar and the uncertainty on the 39, North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
In the casas de cambio located in the International Airport of Mexico City (AICM), the dollar records a maximum price of 19.85 pesos on sale and a minimum from 18.45 pesos to the purchase.
