The head of this department, Jorge Hernández Reyes, explained that 29 samples considered probable were taken, but that 27 were negative and the results of the other two were pending.

In 2016, there were more than 900 registered cases of the Ministry of Health, while in 2017, they were over 370.

He pointed out that, with the support of municipal authorities, has worked "very effectively" in the pre omoción preventive actions, control and the fight against the insect that transmits the disease.
