A car bomb attack on a military patrol of French and Malian forces in northern Mali's Gao town left several dead and wounded, local security sources said Sunday.
The French army confirmed "an incident" without giving further details. This attack comes after the death of at least six people this Friday in an attack perpetrated against the headquarters of the city of Sévaré, central Mali, of the G5 Sahel international force, created last year to combat jihadist violence in this region of West Africa.
