MEXICO.- Even not being the country that most supporters took for the World Cup Russia 2018, the national team Mexican could overcome the psychological and athletic barrier of the eighth final, when they were eliminated against Brazil last Monday.
And according to a report published by the World Fact Book of the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States (CIA), the largest number of foreign fans in the World Cup was Mexican, with a total of 44 thousand people.
This number far exceeds the projection of the Foreign Ministry, which announced last May that it estimated a total of 30,000 Mexican supporters in Russia to witness the performance of the Mexican national team at the World Cup.
Argentina follows with 36,000, Brazil with 34,000, Colombia with 30,000, England with 21,000, France with 20,000, Sweden with 17m Japan with 11,000 and Belgium with 10,000, while Russia was obviously the one that had the most supporters with a total of 935 thousand as host country.
On the other hand, this same report revealed that countries like Croatia Spain also took ten thousand fans, followed by Switzerland with nine, from Denmark with eight, from the US. Uruguay with six and Portugal with five thousand
