Grupo Financiero Banorte completed the merger with Grupo Financiero Interacciones with what became the second largest financial group in the country by level of assets, portfolio and deposits.
In a press release, Banorte informs that on July 10, they obtained from the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) the necessary authorizations to proceed with the merger of the groups and their subsidiaries.
The above, heard the opinion of the Bank of Mexico, the National Banking and Securities Commission and the National Insurance and Surety Commission.
He informed that the acquisition generates financing synergies, increases the return for shareholders in the first year and expands Banorte's consumer product offering to Interacciones' current clientele .
