Employment in the manufacturing sector increases by 0.3% from April to May: INEGI

CITY OF MEXICO, July 19, 2018. – Based on the results of the Monthly Survey of Manufacturing (MSM), in May of the current year, staff employed by the manufacturing sector recorded a 0.3% increase INEGI reported that hours worked increased by 0.9 percent and that average real wages paid, which include wages, salaries and benefits, they were at 0.5 percent the fifth month. In its annual comparison, employed staff grew 3.3%, hours worked increased 3.7% and average real wages increased 1.6% in May. this year compared to the same month of 2017.
