Quito, Ecu.- The lawyers of the founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, presented Friday a lawsuit to ask the state to respect their rights in front of the Embassy of Ecuador in London, where he has been isolated since 2012.

The initiative, which mentions as a counterpart to the authorities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Attorney General's Office, is not intended to establish a protocol with strict rules for actual visits, to pay for its Internet services, laundry and medical visits.

Chancellor José Valencia, speaking to the press, said: "We will obviously react … in accordance with the law that the national government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs respect. We have absolutely all the judicial support of the. case since it is a protocol adopted in accordance with international standards and Ecuadorian law ".

Assange's defense lawyer, Carlos Poveda, had said this week that "the rules that have been imposed are quite restrictive … so we think that there is a very special regime".
