Victoria Eugenia Henao, widow of Pablo Escobar, revealed that the Colombian drug dealer had mistreated her when she had had 14 years old. Escobar was 25 years old. A few days after the event, the future capo encourages him to miscarry the product.
These revelations are part of the autobiographical book Pablo Escobar: My life and my prison, which will be available from November 15th. The British newspaper Daily Mail has obtained an exclusive advance.
In the epilogue of her book, Ms. Henao admits that 44 yearshe thought he was going to take this terrible secret I arrive at the grave. However, the years of therapy have helped her to face your past and see things just as they arrived.
The day she was raped by Escobar, eleven years old, Henao said paralyzed by fear when the man "kissed" and "kissed":
I was not prepared, I did not feel sexual mischief, I did not have the tools to understand what this intimate and intense contact meant.
Three weeks later, Henao recounts that he felt strangebut she never imagined she could be pregnant. Escobar contacted her and asked her how she felt. Immediately, Escobar took it at the house of a woman in the suburbs of Medellín.
Almost immediately, an elderly lady, who barely greeted me, told me to lie on a stretcher and immediately inserted several plastic tubes into my belly, used for venous drainage, and simply stated that they would serve as prevention.
"Prevention of what?" Asked the teenager. "To be pregnant," said the lady with certainty.
Then he tells her to be very careful and remove the tubes when I started bleedingr. Henao did not understand what was happening but accepted the conditions without saying anything.
Escobar went to leave her at home and told him that he would be in touch to see how she was doing, but Henao never told what had happened with her family. He had to sleep and go to school the next day with the tubes inside, always under intense pain.
Because of religious customs in your family and the taboo which revolved around abortion in the 1970s, Henao was not able to reveal what happened. Already lately, after years of therapy, Escobar's widow was able to share her secret with her two sons, Juan Pablo, 41, and Manuela, 34 years old.
Manuela's reaction was very strong, as she asked me several questions that I could not answer, namely why Pablo had acted in this way without asking me, and why he had not warned me the risks of an abortion under these conditions. For her, Pablo's behavior seemed even more reprehensible as it put my health at risk and could have affected my ability to have more children.
Acting on Juan Pablo – aka Sebastián Marroquín and author of two books on his father – he confessed in social networks that it was very sad for him "to have to live today the terrible contradiction of loving a father who tried to my mother "and that it was" the best book of all time on Pablo Escobar ":

There is no doubt that the publication of this autobiography will once again put the Escobar family in the public interest. However, Ms. Henao does not seek the attention of the media but puts the past in her place.
I seek to face my past and take responsibility; I do not feel comfortable presenting myself as a victim of my husband because of the great respect I owe to his other victims.
Pablo Escobar married Victoria Eugenia Henao, whom he nicknamed "La Tata", a year after the events described here, at the age of 15 years. The couple is married for 17 years, until the death of the capo in 1993.
