Social media users have shown that some of the finalist proposals in the competition to choose the institutional image of the next capital government that will lead Claudia Sheinbaum are not original.
At least two of the 20 logos selected by the Organizing Committee were designed to be based on clip art found on Internet platforms and can be purchased or used freely.
The Facebook user Caesar Evangelista Bautista compared the logo sent by a participant, composed of the silhouette of an eagle and whose background presents the image of the old town hall, and showed that there is already an almost identical image on the Internet from the silhouette of the eagle, from the contest they changed the colors.
Also the Twitter user @vampipe showed that there was a hummingbird silhouette image in the network equal to another competitor's logo, with the difference that the latter added more colors and smaller silhouettes of different Historical monuments, as well as the letters "CDMX".
The 20 proposals were selected by an organizing committee chaired by the artist Santiago Robles and they were made public earlier this week so that people know them before the jury verdict on November 13.
The jury will determine if there is a winner or if the contest is declared void. If there is a winner, this person will be entitled to a prize of 150,000 pesos and will assign the rights of his project to the new administration of the capital that will be directed by Claudia Sheinbaum from 5 December.
