Martín Flores Escartín, a specialist in angiology, vascular and endovascular surgery, said that the estimated global population suffering from varicose veins at a certain degree of development is between 30 and 40%.

He explained that during surgeries, the goal of these is to protect the vein, not to remove it, because in the future, they serve for revascularization. It is recommended to do tilting and heel exercises to delay or avoid the formation of varicose veins, with information from the debate.
