About 470 migrants remain in the CDMX shelter

Around 470 Migrants from Central America they arrived at the shelter of City of sport in Mexico, where 19 medical services were provided, mainly due to infections.

The caravan of Migrants from Central America continues to arrive in Mexico City, where there is a refuge for Estadio Jesús Stick Mendez, five thousand 500 migrants is available from Saturday afternoon.

That day, the caravan was divided: an important part took the decision to advance from Sayula de Alemán, Veracruz, to Puebla, and from there, they went with "raites" to the capital of the country.

Others decided to stay at the shelter installed in Ciudad Isla, from where they will go on Sunday to Cordoba, Veracruz, from there to Puebla, then to the Mexican capital.

Tuesday or Wednesday, it is expected that the reception center of Ciudad Deportiva is filled to its maximum capacity, that is to say five thousand 500 migrants, informed the president of the commission. Human Rights Commission of Mexico (CDHCDMX), Nashieli Ramírez.

At a conference in front of the shelter, the Capital Ombudsman informed that the CDHCDMX He directs the actions of support to the caravan of migrants. He explained that currently, there were 470 migrants, including 70% men, and 17 children.

To serve this population, 350 officials from Mexico City go to the shelter with medical, psychological and nutritional care.

Guillermo Orozco, Secretary of the Interior of Mexico City, said that 20 members of the security forces were occupying the population inside the sports city and abroad from a large number of patrols.
