A man sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his wife confesses to the authorities where he buried the body in Michigan eight years ago in return for an Xbox, according to authorities.

It's 29-year-old Doug Stewart. In addition, the agreement allowed him to participate in some penitentiary programs, reports the Sturgis Journal.

On Monday, Stewart took the detectives to a wooded area in Kalamazoo County, where they buried 32-year-old Venus Stewart. On the site, he left two issues as a point of reference.

"I knew I could not forget where I was," I said on WWMT television.

It is worth mentioning that Stewart lives in Virginia when his wife, whom he already separated, disappeared in April 2010 from his parents' home in Michigan.

In this sense, Venus Stewart abandoned him after accusing him of domestic violence and having sexually abused his daughter, according to police reports.

Doug was later convicted of premeditated murder in 2011 and since then the authorities have been traveling to Stewart every year to try to obtain information on the location of the body.

"The criminal part was closed, we just kept trying to shut down the Venus family," said Detective Sergeant Todd Peterson of Michigan Police.
