The president of the Casa Association in HIV, Dorian Cortés Durán, said that there were concerns in this organization because, despite the campaigns and preventive actions carried out in the municipality of Tehuacán, cases of people who are detected with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) or with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), continue to increase and occur mostly in young people around 25 years old.

Mentioned that even when they do not know the official numbers of this terrible disease, because they are run by the Health Jurisdiction, they estimate that at least until 2018 the The association attended about 30 cases being in its most youth, while they recorded six deaths.

He said that, fortunately, there is currently the Comprehensive Care System (IAD) granted by the General Hospital of Tehuacan with which people can receive their retroviral treatments without having to travel to the city of Puebla, which decreases the expenses that must be made for this condition.

He explained that they provide advice and sometimes some drugs to people who contracted the virus

Cortés Durán said that the care of patients that they have in the HIV home is difficult, since the majority arrives when the disease is already very advanced ; in some cases are due to a refusal to receive attention or tests were done too late.

Dorian Cortés Durán reported that the organization is asking for citizenship support for what they donated articles that help them pay more attention to patients.

He said that among the products that are required are: essential items, fruits, vegetables, diapers, towels, wetting creams, formula milk, porridges, as well as cleaning products such as chlorine, soap, detergent, fabric softener, shampoo and deodorant.

In this sense, Cortés Durán adds that for patients who have motor difficulties, he needs crutches, canes and wheelchairs, to trust the citizens who can help the needy.
