In May 2017, we received the unexpected news that Alan Wake, the action and horror game of Remedy Entertainment, would be removed from all digital and physical stores. The reason was the expiry of the soundtrack licenses (which includes themes from artists and bands such as Depeche Mode, Poets of the Fall, and David Bowie). This has put the issue of preserving video games in the public's mouth and the fear that works in this way is lost over time because of the disappearance of the means to obtain them legally.
Fortunately, these legal issues have been solved and Remedy has announced that Alan Wake is back on Steam. Very soon, it will also be on other digital platforms such as GoG or Microsoft Store.
Good news! Alan Wake is back on Steam.
Best news: the price will be reduced during Halloween, so go get your copy if you do not have the game yet. (Other digital platforms to follow.) Https://t.co/GRLdxcH361 pic.twitter.com/KUtdnQg6Hb

To celebrate the return of the adventures of this unfortunate writer, the game was put on sale and we can buy it with a discount of 80% (5,000 Colombian pesos). The collector's edition is also updated (6,200 pesos) as well as the package that includes the pseudo-sequel The American nightmare of Alan Wake (6,700 pesos). These offers will remain until November 1st.
What Alan Wake can be bought legally, this is good news, but also a reminder of the problems facing the preservation of video games. The industry must be very careful not to allow such disappearances to happen again.
Alan Wake will become a television series
