This afternoon, panic broke out in a mall in McAllen when an attempted robbery was taken for a shooting .
The attempted robbery occurred minutes before 1 in the afternoon at a jewelry store in "The Plaza Mall" located near the Texas International Airport .
The local police chief, Víctor Rodríguez, said in a tweet that the bursting of glass boxes was taken for gunfire.
Statement by Chief Rodriguez:
We are investigating an attempted robbery in a jewelery shop @ LaPlazaMall . All known suspects are in detention. No injuries.

Videos and photos on social networks seem to show suspects held inside the mall. According to the authorities, "all known suspects are in detention". Likewise, no injuries were reported .
