Ángela Ponce became the first transsexual to be proclaimed Miss Universe Spain 2018, so the young woman made history for the community LGBT, as in beauty pageants, according to the Tikitakas portal.
In 2015 Miss Cádiz won but she could not run in the competition of Miss Spain since Miss World she was born was not in agreement with the participation of transsexual women.
Now, Ponce decided to try her luck three years later, winning the acclaimed title, now competing for the world crown, being the first transsexual to participate in a women's beauty contest.
It is worth mentioning that the girl has been fighting for years for her rights, considering that with this success she can carry a message of tolerance and respect for all diversities.
On his side the businessman Osmel Sousa, who was president of the Miss Venezuela Organization, who was against the transsexuals participating in these events, celebrated the triumph of the Spaniards.
"I have always thought that female beauty contests should not be transgendered, now I have the opportunity to correct and I do it with happiness. @angelaponceofficial you are a beautiful woman , you can sign where you want to rule! ", explained on Instagram.
