Cemex Ventures invests in smart concrete startup

CEMEX Ventures announced on Tuesday that it was going to invest in Concrete Sensors, a US-based start-up that allows entrepreneurs to accelerate time to site thanks to a precise and real-time monitoring of the temperature, the relative humidity and the hardness of any concrete mixture.

It was decided to invest in the company as it offers solutions for a wide range of construction challenges, said Cemex Ventures CEO Gonzalo Galindo.

"Concrete Sensors brings added value to Cemex customers, allowing them to maximize product benefits while saving money," said the executive.

Cemex Ventures realizes the investment, the amount of which has not been disclosed, in association with Requus Ventures and Arab Angels Fund.
