That his gift for narration was something better. I saw that he was more sincere than the guy who thought he needed to get people up by making unpleasant or offensive jokes (or whatever you chose to call them – I do not think so that his bluer matter is never the funniest and mom either). And the best part is, this change in my brother has been reflected in the change that the Guardians are going through. I've heard my brother repeatedly say that when Quill rallies the team with "it's our chance to make shit" – to worry about it – that's the encouragement speech that he himself needed to hear. This is part of what made the work on Guardian films a rewarding experience for distribution. We managed to find ourselves involved in a big budget superhero movie that was deeply personal. It's a gift. And that's why it's good. This is not new information, by the way. That's all that James has repeatedly explained in the interviews, in more detail and more eloquently. This is not a new rotation. It has always been part of this story. So I guess my hope is that fans will continue to watch and enjoy Guardians movies, not that the filmmaker was a bit of a donkey, but because of that.
