The intense rains of the last hours have caused the deaths of six people and damaged roads, schools and homes, as well as power cuts in various municipalities of the state of Oaxaca.
The Coordination of Civil Protection of the State confirmed the death of six people in San Pedro Ocotepec, a community of the Sierra Mixe of Oaxaca, who were buried at the fall of a hill.
"Indeed, we must regret this misfortune, where two women lose their lives, between 35 and 45 years, and four minors, between 13 and a year and a half, the balance of six deaths, which today, I'm going to break a hill, "said Heliodoro Díaz Escárraga, civil protection coordinator in Oaxaca.
Thursday afternoon, all the bodies of the deceased were found, after several hours of work of residents of the city and relief agencies came to help in the region.

Authorities reported the interruption of car traffic following landslides on the Oaxaca-Tuxtepec highway, as well as on the Telixtlahuaca-Teotitlán highway of Flores Magón.
In municipalities such as San Juan Tepeuxila and San Juan Yagila, several houses were affected by the rains, as well as a telebachillerato in Ixtlán and power cuts in San Pedro Yanerí.

The authorities are keeping the alert, because besides the cold front No. 6, the presence of an instability zone south of the Gulf of Tehuantepec, with the possibility of turning into a tropical cyclone, will also generate more rainfall in the state of Oaxaca.
The rainfall is expected to continue in Oaxaca until the end of November
